If elected, Rodgers plans to increase communication with residents.
“I would like to do this through social media, and other forms of new communication, to help them understand how a township works, and the issues it faces,” he said, adding a balanced approach to zoning regulations will help protect families’ biggest assets in their homes and properties, with no overreach of local government.
“We need to stay lean,” Rodgers said. “The residents of Leroy have larger expanses of personal property, so the overall services that are financially available to them are not always cost-effective. We need to remember that when we ask people for more of their hard-earned money. I am not against asking for additional funding, but I am against asking for additional money that would not give the residents a better return on their investment.”
Rodgers believes through hard work and stubborn determination, he can do what’s best for the township.
“It will ‘take a village’ to continue to keep Leroy Township on the right track and I need the help of the residents to continue that,” he added. “Nobody will ever outwork me and what I will do for the township that I love. I was raised here, and I plan to die here. So if you share my passion and my heart for Leroy, then vote for me.”
